"Baby's got a new ride.."

On Saturday we made the trip to Avon, CT to procure the infamous "Mountain Buggy" stroller. Having pushed a few of these Cadillacs in my nanny day and coming highly recommended by Ike Shutz, I just couldn't imagine Elizabeth settling for anything less. Needless to say. the thing's a hit. We ventured out bright and early this morning (yesterday's rain postponed our first ride) and Elizabeth was thrilled to discover that, now forward-facing, she could !!SEE THE WORLD!! And eventually the excitement of trees, blue sky, planes and all things up proved so great that she enjoyed the rest of our outing in a fresh air slumber...

Our first blog!

I've been thinking about starting a blog since Elizabeth was born and am just now getting around to it. The idea is to keep family and friends, near and far, updated on our new family. So! Here goes...

Elizabeth Moffett Reale was born on October 21, 2oo8 weighing in at 7 pounds 4 ounces and measuring 21 inches long. That makes her 6 weeks on Tuesday - time really does fly! She is a happy, healthy baby, and the light of her parent's (and dog's) eyes...

The picture of the three of us was taken by our good friend, mother of "Little Baby Ike", and talented photographer, Kerry Schutz, when Elizabeth was just 3 days old. Kerry came to see us in the hospital and captured some great shots. Here are some more from her visit...

Matt took this picture yesterday. We haven't been to the pediatrician in a few weeks but we think Elizabeth weighs upwards of 12 pounds now. What a difference a couple of weeks makes!
